I loved the Bareknuckled Bastards trilogy but Ewan was definitely the most milquetoast of the lot.
Right! That's exactly it! OR, have it come out much earlier that he didn't Betray Them in the way they thought, because it was like the book thought I didn't notice that we were missing very obvious context that probably explained what happened. I did notice. So prolonging the "reveal" I already knew made all the related stakes feel less important.
Lord of Scoundrels has been on my TBR for a whole-ass decade. Thank you for reminding me to prioritize it! :)
