And now, the books I rated 5 stars in 2023!
Contemporary:
The Exception To The Rule and The Paradise Problem by Christina Lauren (the former was featured in my epistolary elements round up)
The Ex Vows by Jessica Joyce
Failure To Match by Kyra Parsi (featured in my billionaire comps round up)
At First Spite by Olivia Dade (featured in my mental health round up)
How To End a Love Story by Yulin Kuang (also featured in my mental health round up)
Historical:
Proof By Seduction and The Marquis Who Musn't by Courtney Milan
The Madness of Lord Ian MacKenzie by Jennifer Ashley
My Season of Scandal and The Beast Takes a Bride by Julie Ann Long
The Bride by Julie Garwood
All Scot and Bothered by Kerrigan Byrne
Dancing with Danger by Kerrigan Byrne
Non-romance reads:
The Ministry of Time by Kaliane Bradley (some might argue this is a romance. I disagree on a handful of genre convention reasons. I still think about it CONSTANTLY though)
Apostles of Mercy by Lindsay Ellis (book 3 in one of my favorite sci-fi series!)
The Five Year Lie by Sarina Bowen (honestly you COULD actually convince me that this was a romantic suspense, especially since it’s by a prolific romance author I’ve read before, though it’s definitely more thriller and less romance)
You may also have noticed things are starting to look a little different in the graphics and colors… I’m working on a rebrand! It might take a bit of time to get it right, but I’m a big fan of freshening things up every few years.

It was a great year for baseball romances, with The Prospects, You Should Be So Lucky, and The Art of Catching Feelings out this year. They're all very different from each other, but all five stars for me.
